who
is going to win the 2022 fifa world cup will it be france the defending champions
will it be another European nation like netherlands or germany will it be a
south american nation Argentina or brazil or will it be an underdog from africa
in today's video we're gonna find out exactly who i think it's going to be going
from the groups to the round of 16 to the quarterfinals all the way to the final
and we're gonna crown one winner who i think will win the world cup this year
in order to complete this video today i'm using taylor grav's world cup simulator
i'll leave a link down in the description if you want to go through this
exercise on your own but without further ado let's jump into the groups let's
see who i've selected i have made a video on this so if you haven't checked it
out go check it out but these are how i have the groups panning out in group a
i have qatar coming in position for missing out on the round of 16 being only
the second host nation to not make it out of the group stages then third i've
got ecuador from south America feisty team which could cause an upset but i
just don't see them making out of
the
group stage second i've got Senegal and first i've got netherlands as you can
see now group b is a little bit more interesting we have iran usa wales and england
any one of these four teams could make it out of this group however i've
narrowed it down and i've got a running fourth i've got wales third usa are
going to qualify that's a bit of an
upset
i know and then england taking that number one position then group c is sort of
a more straightforward group however we do know mexico's history they are
notorious for making it out of the group stage and then falling out in the round
of 16 however this year i just don't think they're able to make it through so
i've got saudi arabia in fourth mexico in third poland in second and obviously
argentina are going to be top in this group now group d this is where i could
see my first real upset happening i haven't predicted it but it's definitely
possible in group d we've got australia tunisia france and denmark i think
denmark are going to take number one spot in this group I think australia is
going to end up fourth in this group and then we're down to france and tunisia
and i would not be surprised to see tunisia and knock france out of the world
cup we know they have the champions curse on them but I just can't see it
happening with the quality and the depth that france have they surely make it
out of the group stage so i haven't called to upset you as much as i would have
liked tunisia an african country to make it through into the round of 16 i'm
gonna have to stick with my guns and go with france second and tunisia in third
now group e is also one of those straight forward groups we've got germany
spain costa rica and Japan i just don't see costa rica and Japan making it out
of this group with the quality of germany and spain so got germany first spain
second costa rica third and japan fought now group f is another one of these
groups that you could see a couple underdogs potentially qualifying you've got
canada you've got morocco you've got croatia and Belgium now belgium for me are
the favorites to take this group i don't think there'll be any issues we did
see them struggle a
little
bit in the nations league but I think they will have their nuts and bolts
sorted by the time the world cup comes around so they taking number one position
in this group for me and then second any one of these teams could take it
croatia morocco or canada we saw while canada did in the concacaf topping their
table ahead of the usa and Mexico so they are definitely an underdog to watch
in this group then we've got morocco from africa they didn't have a great
africa cup of nations but they can always throw a spanner in the works and then
obviously croatia they came third in the world cup in 2018 but for me i'm gonna
have to give croatia the second spot they will qualify for the round of 16.
morocco in third and then canada in fourth group g sees another favorite to win
the world cup being brazil brazil are going to top this group i don't have
any
doubts about that cameroon also in this group they came third in the africa cup
of nations earlier this year but they're just not looking too great they were
the host nation they did it very unconvincingly so i'm putting cameroon in
fourth then second and third or between serbia and switzerland this decision is
on a knife edge for me but i do think serbia have the edge over switzerland i
gave a full breakdown in my last prediction video where i predicted all of
these groups in depth so if you want to go see my reasonings go check that
video out but i'm giving serbia a second and switzerland third and then finally
we have group h which has a lot of drama built into this group we've got Portugal
ghana uruguay and south korea now south korea can cause an upset they could upset
ghana and uruguay however i just don't think they will so i'm going south
korean
fourth portugal obviously in first and then we've got ghana and uruguay we know
about the drama in 2010 between these two nations and i think ghana will come
for revenge it is a bit of a risky call but this is my quotes and quote upset
for the group stages gone i have recruited quite a lot of youngsters so their
team is looking top notch at the moment obviously Uruguay quality south
american side but i have to go with the upset here and backgrounder the black
stalls to make it into the round of 16. and this is how the round of 16 pans
out for my predictions in the group stage for match 49 we see netherlands
taking on the usa now in my previous video i did pick netherlands as one of my top
five favorites to win the whole tournament usa are an underdog and i do think
they will make it out of the group stage but i think the round of 16 against netherlands
might be a step too far netherlands has one of the best defenses in the world
they have the experience and the quality usa and this fixture look a little bit
out of their depth and
they
couldn't even finish above Mexico and canada in the concacaf so i don't see usa
beating netherlands here so for me i'm going netherlands to advance to the quarterfinals
now match 50c is one of the biggest clashes of the round of 16 we've got argentina
taking on the defending champions france now Argentina in my top five favorites
i picked argentina as my second pick so I definitely think argentina have the
quality
to win this world cup France obviously having that champions curse however if i
did pick them to make it out of the group stages the champions curse is gone
now can france beat argentina on the day yes they can they have all the quality
all the depth in the world in the likes of benzema and barbara pogba the list
goes on and on they could honestly play a second side in this world cup and
they would be good enough to qualify for the round of 16. this is a nail biter
it's a bit of a coin toss argentina obviously spearheaded by leonardo messi but
their whole team is so much more well-rounded
than
their 2018 team was and i truly think that this is argentina's yet to make it
to a final and potentially even win this so for me i'm going Argentina to
advance to the quarterfinals match 51 is quite interesting we see England taking
on senegal now obviously England have been absolute rubbish in the uefa nations
league of late losing both of their games to hungary so they've got a lot to
work on between now and the world cup if the world cup was in june July where
it normally is i would say that senegal have a very very high chance of upsetting
england here however they do have a lot of time to sort out their nuts and
bolts and i think they will I think southgate will sit the boys down caleb
mcguire will take lead of that team and i do think england are going to sort
their stuff out however senegal are no strangers to a final they just won the
africa cup of nations against egypt they showed their quality there they then
showed it a week later where they knocked egypt out of the world cup do i think
the likes of money
kula
bali adrisa gaye mendy can take down in england of course i can will senegal be
the first african team to make it to a quarterfinal i'm not sure i actually
don't think so i
think
in this game england will step up they have the experience they have the quality
and for me i know it's sad to see senegal go out of the world cup in a round of
16. i would be pleasantly surprised to see them make it into the quarterfinals
but for this video i'm going with england to advance match 52 sees denmark
taking on poland now this is a very interesting fixture from my point of view
obviously denmark had a very very good nations league run Poland not so much
but they are spearheaded by lewandowski and their whole team and strategy i
think will be built around lewandowski if he has a good tournament i could see
poland going quite far however they did get a little bit
unlucky
drawing denmark in this fixture i think denmark are very quality side this year
i don't see really any weaknesses and they're only going to find themselves
coming up against it when they get to those bigger teams such as argentina
brazil germany so for me I think this might be close it might go down to penalties
and extra time but i do think
denmark
has what it takes to beat Poland and move on to the quarterfinals so for that
reason denmark are advancing for me match 53 sees the likes of germany and croatia
another killer game Croatia obviously falling to france in the final in 2018
coming so close to winning the world cup will they be able to replicate that
performance and make it far into this world cup they're coming up against germany
a very very experienced team they have four world cups behind their name they
didn't look that good in the nation's league they kind of bolt up slowly to
eventually beat italy 5-2 in their last game of the nations league so this is
going to be a close one i could definitely see croatia winning this one however
germany just have that experience they know how to win these type of games so
for me i think i'm going to go with germany to advance into the quarterfinals
like i said this one could go either way croatia do have the quality they're
not as good as they were in 2018 but they could always cause an upset however i
feel like germany might just have too much for them now match 54 sees my
favorite of the tournament brazil taking on ghana now while we see an african
team in the quarterfinals for the first time my immediate thinking is no ghana
got super unlucky with this draw they're gonna probably have to top their group
against portugal to have any chance of making it into the quarterfinals brazil
are just such a well-rounded team all the experience in the world i don't think
brazil is going to have any trouble putting this
ghanaian
team away i think this is an easy one i'm going brazil to advance to the quarterfinals
match 55 we have belgium taking on spain now belgium the wheels seem to come
off a little bit in the uefa nations league but eventually finishing off that
stretch of the nation's league beating poland 6-1 obviously belgium are quality

bruyne if he has a good tournament I could see belgium going very very far in this
tournament they do have those key players spain on the other hand i'm a little
bit worried about them because they are so inexperienced obviously a fantastic
team they didn't lose in the nations league this is going to be an absolute
cracker of a game but i do think spain is going to have a little bit too much
for belgium obviously belgium could win this game we'll have to see when we get
closer to the time but for now and for this video i'm choosing spain to advance
into the quarterfinals in the last game of the round of 16 sees portugal taking
on serbia now serbia being one of the most underrated teams in my opinion
facing off against portugal who are experienced obviously cristiano ronaldo
will be hitting that attack this is a very interesting fixture i think serbia
could take this if they pitch up on the day they do have the players to do so
which i described in my last prediction video but portugal for me here this is
the game that worries me and I know there is going to be an upset in the round
of 16. it could come in the england versus senegal game it could come in the
germany or croatia game but for me i do think serbia have the best chance yet
to upset portugal so i'm gonna call the upsets i know i'm probably gonna get
some hate comments from the portuguese but i do think serbia are underrated
they are my dark horse in the world cup so i'm going with Serbia advancing to
the quarterfinals moving on to the quarterfinals our match 57 sees netherlands
taking on Argentina i'm not that naive to think that netherlands are just going
to walk over argentina obviously argentina have been undefeated for so long now
and i do think they have the quality to make it all the way to the final the
only positive i see of the netherlands is that their defense is top class
probably the best defense in the world cup so if their defense can hold up and
they can take it all the way to penalties i do think netherlands can beat Argentina
obviously they're going to have to withstand argentina's potent attack throughout
the game but they do have the defense to do it van dyke de luch de frey and
dumfries could definitely do this for netherlands i'm so torn here as a dutch
supporter i know there's going to be some twists and turns in this tournament
don't castrate me in the comments for following my hearts on this one i just think
that Netherlands defense will hold them up and if they can get into penalties
with Argentina anything can happen so for me i'm calling the upset i'm going
netherlands to beat argentina and moving to the semi-finals match 58 sees germany
taking on brazil now obviously germany with all the experience brazil with the
world cup history the most wins by any nation in the world cup this might be
the game of the tournament this
again
can go either way but i do think brazil are going to have a little bit too much
for germany so for me brazil against germany brazil are going to come out on
top in this one match 59 we see england taking on denmark now England has
probably had the easiest run up until the quarter finals they have an easy
group compared to everyone else they faced senegal in the round of 16 and now
they've got denmark they didn't
pull
up germany brazil Argentina netherlands they pulled denmark i think that's
gonna work for them because england like to build in competitions the further
they go the more their quality increases yes denmark can definitely beat them
denmark's quality
has
been unreal in the nations league but i just think england are going to get up
for this game they will want to make it deep into this tournament and for me
england are going to sort their problems out beat denmark and move on to the
semi-finals match 60 sees spain taking on serbia now serbia being my underdog
for the world cup i just don't think they can beat spain i think this is a easy
pick we have seen upsets in the past but i do think spain will make quite easy
work of serbia in the quarterfinals yes they're unexperienced but that can also
work in their favor so for me i'm not gonna waste any time i'm gonna pick spain
to move on to the semi-finals semi-finals we've got netherlands taking on
brazil and england taking on spain now in the first semi-final of two we see netherlands
taking on brazil Netherlands like i said the defense is unreal
however
i think this is where they get unstuck i don't think they can beat brazil
brazil are such a quality side and i don't think they're gonna lose many games
from now it's all the world cup if any so for me i think this is brazil's year
to claim the trophy once again so i'm going brazil in the final taking out the
dutch and leaving me very very sad then semi-final number two we've got england
taking on spain they will probably have to go to extra time and penalties and
we know how heartbreaking penalties can be if you're
an
english supporter you just have to go back to the heroes against italy spain I think
this one's tough this one's really tough spain is so much quality england has
so much quality but i do think spain are going to beat england spain have just
been better in the nations league they are going to be better in the world cup
they will have played the bigger games in the world cup they will have faced
germany they will have faced Serbia and they would have faced belgium to get to
this stage so for me they know the quality that they need to provide in this
game so unfortunately i'm gonna be picking spain
to
win the semi-final and move into the final which leaves us with the brazil spain
final now this could honestly go anywhere we know how difficult it is to predict
a final but for me on all the points i've said in this video and in my previous
prediction video my winner has to go to the south american brazilian side now i
know there's going to be a lot of comments arguing my predictions in this so comment

think brazil is going to win this world cup i will be making an updated version
