in the last minute of the second of the first half but you came very very strongly
the second half all in all a good game for you yeah obviously i think we had a strong
strong finish to the game especially the last 30 minutes i think we play very
well obviously we make some changes put some fresh legs in you know they make
some changes and and obviously then it's it's never easy to adapt to the game but
um overall i'm very proud of the boys for this week tough week of of training meetings
um two games in three days most of us are used to playing two games in in three
games but still you know it's it has asked a lot from us and we still have to
do it so i'm uh i'm happy that we uh obviously didn't lose the performances
were good there's always room for improvement that we we will try to improve as
well unfortunately no salah no more salah did he lose yeah but money any
preference of a team or teams in the group stages obviously i feel i feel sorry
for them all i feel sorry for Egypt but football is something sometimes like this
and i'm sure he will turn this disappointment hopefully into success for this
rest of the season and we have still everything to play for so there's a lot of
things to achieve for him and yeah for satya obviously i wish him all the best
if he is in our group I wish him definitely uh good luck because he's going to
need it i've got to ask you um we've talked so much about growing up here in in
the shadow of wembley but can you remember sitting and watching world cup draws
as a kid and where are you going to be watching it on Friday um what would i be
watching it depends

the club schedule um i think we'll be in the metropolitan should be at home so
um it's one i'm definitely looking forward to it's every time it comes around
it's like you know you're a kid again it's uh the biggest competition in in
world football and um you know it's just a great privilege that we're a part of
it man another very impressive uh performance from england she captained them
to we know that world cup has been the world cup clock has been counting down
to qatar 2022 in st george's park for a long time and now do you believe that team
that's in the dressing room can take you that one step forward how are you
feeling um as i said the last couple years we've gained massive experience you
know it's a team that i think's getting better you know adding players and
players that you know with more time that we're together we're just we're gonna
be better so the world cups could be another great test for us um and you know
that's that's all we can do is is play these games and do it to the best of our
ability and when that time comes to the world cup i'm sure we'll be ready and
you just connect with every single player on fall during the euros luke shaw's
talking about the combination that you had together grealish tonight and
bellingham had a fantastic game too yeah no honestly it's uh the players that
we have in you know this this team um we have some some technically very very
good players players that you know are good in tight spaces and um that's what
we need to do more is you know enjoy the ball um and try to try to try to use
the ball to our advantage and tonight you've seen some great link up play and
and long mate to continue some big names not making it to the world cup egypt
haven't made it so no seller at the world cup marley and senegal have gone
through ronaldo and portugal album so you won't have portugal in your group um
but you and you won't have france but you will have likes of germany Croatia we've
seen what you could do about them in the euros is there any team you fear that
you couldn't face as i said it's it's one that i want to say fear but it's a
world cup and i'm sure you know when the the draw

come out now we've got a long time to prepare for it um i said so again we'll
be ready man we'll it's a group growing experience um and relishes and challenges
so um when that when those pictures do come about we'll be ready an update on
the caf second leg play-offs so ghana are coming to Qatar they beat nigeria 2-1
on ag well sorry 1-1 on aggregate but the away goal was what made the
difference for the ghanaian senegal are through that is controversial we'll
talk about that a little more they won on penalties three one cameroon
currently one nil up against algeria so as it stands that one would be going
cameroon's way due to that away go morocco 4-1 and aggregate looks like they're
coming to qatar and it's nil nil in between tunisia and marley tunisia of course

it ends this was the image of mo salah seconds before he was about to take his
penalty now this story is really well making waves on social media and in the
footballing world they had their penalty shoot out it ended 3-1 even the senegalese
players missed a lot of their penalties because the the Senegalese fans were
shining lights on the Egypt players faces and the keeper but not just the odd
one we're talking about 30 of those lasers on the faces of players while
they're taking penalties what was that i've never seen anything like nick you
know i think in the past we saw one of the lasers maybe one not as many as we
saw in in that penalty shootout i don't know what happened as the game was
going on obviously we were constantly concentrating on the game in front of us but
every time the goalkeeper was in goal it was exactly the same and every single
player that went up to take a penalty and mo salah being the first one and that
was the images that we saw as the game was going on and i just don't understand
exactly what that's the thing is i don't understand why not one of the players
have gone to the referee and said to him look you can see it flashing all over
me something needs to be done about it you know do you tell the people in the stadium
or do we go to the other end and take the penalties so the supporters couldn't
do that but the players should have waited maybe they were a little bit silly
and naive to go up and take the penalties themselves knowing that that was happening
and the goalkeeper as well when when uh nigeria were taking their penalties as
well but it's just it's completely out of order oh it's awful it's awful
